Question : How much do you charge for looking at my computer?

 

Answer : Nothing....not a penny. We have a NO FIX NO FEE policy. If you bring your PC or laptop into us for repair we will look at your Problem and telephone you with the cost of repair....if you decide not to go ahead with the repair you can collect your PC or laptop from us and walk away owing nothing. And that’s a promise from Lee’s Computers.

 

Question : If I book a call-out are you guaranteed to fix my problem?

 

Answer : That can only be answered truthfully as a simple “no we cannot”. The reason being that some repairs are so major that it would be impossible to repair it at the clients home. Nine out of ten repairs are dealt with successfully, but we do come across systems that have a serious problem that can only be dealt with at our workshop.

 

Question : Is your work guaranteed?

 

Answer : Yes all our repair work is covered for 3 months. Any system that gets repaired by us will be repaired free of labour charges if brought back to us with the same problem within this warranty period. The only repair this warranty does not cover is the operating system, as this can be damaged by the user.

 

Question : How long will you take to repair my PC?

 

Answer : It all depends on which part/parts need replacing. Most repairs are available for collection the same day, but there are rare occasions where your system may be with us for 4-5 days depending on the day you bring it into us for repair. For same day repair and collect, systems must be with us before 10AM.

 

Question : Do you repair systems which are using Windows 98 or 98SE ?

 

Answer : No we do not. Windows 98 was good for it’s time we agree, but since Microsoft has stopped all support for it we don’t see the point in repairing these systems. We would advise anyone using this operating system to upgrade to an XP or Vista system as a matter of urgency. Telephone us or pop into us for more info.

 

Question : Do you still supply systems with Windows XP instead of Windows Vista?

 

Answer : Yes we do. Every new build comes with a choice of XP Home 32bit, XP Pro 32bit, Vista basic 32bit, Vista Home Premium 32 & 64bit, Vista Ultimate 32 & 64bit.

 

Question : Do you stock second hand parts?

 

Answer : Yes we have a wide range of second hand parts. Modems, motherboards, graphics cards, memory, cases, printers, scanners, sound cards e.t.c. Please note we cannot guarantee these items are in stock all the time as some are sold daily and others are used in repairs if the customer chooses to use second hand parts.

 

Question : Do you do copies of portrait shots, school photos, wedding photos e.t.c.

 

Answer : No we cannot. If a professional photographer has taken the photos or a wedding photographer the photos are copyright and you need to purchase a new  copy off him/her.

 

Question : I cannot get my system to you for repair because I don’t have transport can you help with this.

 

Answer : Yes we can help. We offer a collect-repair-delivery service. With this service we collect your system from you, bring it into our workshop to be repaired then deliver it back to you. This service is charged at a flat rate of £10 (this does not include the repair cost) within the Merthyr Tydfil Borough. For ouside this area please telephone for an accurate price. We can also arrange a postal service with a private courier.
