Time and time again we keep getting asked by our customers, which operating system is the best XP or Vista? Our answer would undoubtedly be...both. Although we must agree Vista has had major teething problems, but so did XP. 3 service packs on from it’s release and it’s still not near perfect. On the other hand Vista which is fairly new and on its first service pack, is in our eyes on equal terms with the current 3 service pack XP. Add 4GB or more of ram in a vista system and we think most people would change their minds and realise the pros of moving to Vista. We would strongly advise all unhappy Vista users to overdose their system with at least 4GB of ram. Only then will you experience Vista the way it was meant to be experienced.

Phishing is the act of sending an e-mail to a user falsely claiming to be an established legitimate company or organisation in an attempt to scam the user into surrendering private information that will be used for identity theft. The e-mail directs the user to visit a Web site where they are asked to update personal information, such as passwords and credit card, social security, and bank account numbers, that the legitimate company or organization already has. The Web site, however, is bogus and set up only to steal the user’s information. For example, 2003 saw the proliferation of a phishing scam in which users received e-mails supposedly from eBay claiming that the user’s account was about to be suspended unless he clicked on the provided link and updated the credit card information that the genuine eBay already had. Because it is relatively simple to make a Web site look like a legitimate organizations website by mimicking the HTML code, the scam counted on people being tricked into thinking they were actually being contacted by eBay and were subsequently going to eBay’s site to update their account information, when in fact they were going to a cloned website which looked identical to Ebays. By spamming large groups of people, the “phisher” counted on the e-mail being read by a percentage of people who actually had listed credit card numbers with eBay legitimately. If you receive an email asking you to click on a link and confirm your details you can be sure that this is an attempt to trick you into giving a phisher your confidential information. Remember that legitimate organisations like your bank, Ebay, Paypal e.t.c. Will never ask for this information this way. The reason being.......They already have it so why would they want it again? We hope by making our customers and website visitors aware of this scam we can help save you from being a victim of this scam, and keep your money in your bank , and not in the phishers bank account.
